Ernst & Young Government Innovation Summit 2011

How can Europe be more innovative? Ernst & Young aims to tackle the growing challenge of the innovation gap in Europe by bringing together leading EU officials and business thinkers. This summit serves as a platform for discussion and the exchange of ideas between the European Union and the business community. The recently released ‘European Innovation Scoreboard’ revealed that the EU has lost one fifth of its world share in R&D since 2005. The clock is ticking as emerging economies like Brazil and China are rapidly bridging ‘the innovation gap’ between themselves and the EU.

We would like to invite you to participate in the discussion and make your views known. We want to hear your questions and comments on how to strengthen Europe’s innovation platform, how to develop policies that will engage the business community, and how to stimulate real and powerful innovation throughout Europe.

You can do this by tweeting messages using the hashtag #eysummit. These tweets will appear on the screens at the event and can possible be picked up by our keynotes Herman Van Rompuy (President of the European Council) and Charles Leadbeater (international innovation expert).

We hope you enjoy the Ernst & Young Innovation Summit.
